A pocketbike is a miniature version of its full size racing bike. It is as detailed and sleek as the full sized, but in a scaled down manner. The first developed pocketbike, or mini moto, originated in Japan where many pocketbikers have been racing pocketbikes for years. The concept expanded to include Europe where pocketbikers were designing and building European counterparts.
The average pocketbike is about 25 inches tall which has prompted many parents to consider them ideal for their racing prodigy. New pocketbikes prices go from $100 to over $4500. The average pocketbiker will start with the smaller mta1, mx3 or mta4 versions building as their pocketbiker skills and knowledge increase with experience. There are many venues where pocketbikers can show and race their pocketbikes. Many pocketbiker tracks have been built and are growing rapidly as the sport of pocketbiking expands to reach all ages of pocketbikers.
